That could be a Pyrrhic victory. And ironic as well. <g>

Seems to me that ravings, while annoying to us, and potentially comforting to the enemy when taken en masse, are less threatening than ravings gone underground out of fear of imprisonment, where we can't monitor them. I'd rather be annoyed and risk small comforts to the bad guys than have something explode at my feet without hint of warning. One of the fortuitous things about free speech is that it gives the bad guys rope with which to hang themselves.

Yep. Nothing wrong with silencing speech which presents a clear and present danger. Such speech is not protected by the First Amendment.

BTW, your statements about Bush, our foreign policy, in fact most political subject affront me frequently. So do Poet's, kholts, etc....An "affront" is not the issue. The issue is the proper limits of free speech in a wartime US. Raybo, the Naked Kings, has crossed the line. So has TP.
