I guess that is possible that Chretien chose words to try to buy a peace with Radical Islam while not giving two hoots in Hell how they might be received here in the US. Problem is his attempts at appeasement will not buy Canada a single friend in the Moslem world but could well cost them a friend & customer in the free world or worse yet, result no free world at all..
