I have been unable to understand one thing for the last year. Why hasn't McNealy realized that he was carrying much too much headcount at SUN. I know the argument, "when the market returns" they will not have to go out and spend on training new people, This is wishful thinking, not the way to run a business. This does not help ROE. This is why SUNW is now in the $2 per share range. ($2.99 per share the last I saw go by)

SAN FRANCISCO--Sun Microsystems will get into the PC business next year, selling a Linux-based desktop that will cost less than half to own and operate than a comparable system running Windows, Sun CEO Scott McNealy said Wednesday.
