There's not much room for democracy under Shari'a. Does Keppel have any examples of "democratic" Islamist movements? Movements running under the election slogan "one man, one vote, one time" do not count. Nor could there be if fundamentalist Jews or Christians, who have no concept of separation of state and religion, came to power. Same problem. But the route to power is deemed to be a democratic one not a revolutionary one.
