In this dispute strategy and knowledge of tradition and ideology is so important e.g...

Julian Manyon is searching Afghanistan for Osama bin Laden or for his remains… he files this report..

<<Looking for a 6ft 4in corpse
spectator.co.uk.

‘That he has not been apprehended or killed is a great disappointment to me,’ I was told by Brigadier General Doug Odell, the square-jawed commander of the US Marines anti-terrorist task force. A persuasive argument for bin Laden’s survival is the absence of any signs of mourning among his followers, or of any shrines to his memory. No one familiar with the Muslim devotion to fallen heroes can doubt that a dead bin Laden would speedily become the object of veneration for thousands in Afghanistan and beyond, however outrageous that may seem to the many who have suffered from his work.>>

Now if the Intelligence knows the ideology of Afghans and Osama well they would not look for such a site. He may be very well dead and buried alive.

The reason 'Osama bin Laden' burial site would not become an object of veneration due to the fact that this is one area where ‘Prohibitions of within wahhabism’ disallow no other object for worship than Allah Holy men or women must not be used to win favours from God. No other name than the names of Allah may enter a prayer. It is for this reason that all graves in Saudi Arabia are unmarked and unlike other sects in Islam grave worshipping is very strictly forbidden. Osama bin Laden burial ground is of no significance to either Afghans or his followers due to their believes to make a deduction that he may be alive since no such point of veneration is so far discovered is in my opinion a poor judgement.
