From an Indian perspective, Musharraf is clearly more dangerous; he openly talks about using first nuclear strike.

Saddam has invaded other countries twice - Iran in 1980, Kuwait in 1991. Musharraf has not invaded India. I doubt very much that Musharraf is going to initiate war with India, either.

But then, I find the whole thing mystifying. Just have the damned elections and live with the results.

Edit: I see that the separatists want a plebescite as to whether to remain part of India or not. I admit to not knowing much about the dispute.

Every so often someone from Pakistan or India pops up on FADG to make remarks about the situation, but they don't make much of an effort to educate the rest of us.
