Dream on. SUN missed the boat. Developers don't want to pay a SOLARIS tax to SUN as they pay a WINDOWS tax to MSFT.

3. Sellable Java Products - IBM has WebSphere, the supposed #2 J2EE platform, which is a huge consulting revenue winner and good for sales - hire the people that can build this stuff, heck buy BEA Buying BEA would be a great strategy but BEA is 1/5 sunw mkt cap now. (which is cheap for BEA considering its profitability, cash etc). Sunw bought some app servers in the past so they have the infrastructure to support these products, its just that weblogic ran away from the mkt. IBM has websphere and weblogic is a strong contender.
