AE is trading lower than prior to the announcement

------ I got into AE by way of the winddown of WFF.UN which I held and accumulated since before my first posting on this group. See that first post. With that winddown unitholders received a major payout. The trust (WFF) at that time still had a little assets and some huge tax pools left which it felt it could capitalize on. By way of selling these pools or by itself being taken by some other trust or company. Well after a while it was announced that an oil gas junior (by name of D--) was going to convert itself to a trust take over the pools and what little else was left and become AE.UN. Now its chart since May 2001 shows it falling from around $4+ to just over $3 until Sept 2001 when it started its monthly payouts. From May to Sept the company said it needed to withhold payouts to build a base with. I accumulated some around here. It remaimed relatively flat in the low $3 until it announced some joint venture operations in Nov 2001. At that time it said it was going to be doing further such "deals" or better to grow the company. Now from Nov 2001 to July 2002 AE has had a stellar rise from just over $3 to around $4.50 or so. Now perhaps with this stellar rise the KETCH deal or something like it had already been factored into the price. Remember the old adage """BUY ON RUMOR SELL ON NEWS""". MAYBE THATS WHAT BEEN HAPPENING !!!!!. JUST SOME THOUGHTS TO CONSIDER ON THE MATTER. -----

Does anyone own GDI.UN. I've been scanning the trusts and
noticed that two of the trusts of trusts own GDI.UN.
They each hold substantial positions. The stock has fallen
back from its high and closed today at 9.75. It's been
making its distributions and on 9.75, its payout is
14.8%. I've looked for reports on it at two brokerage houses
and have found no reports. Stockhouse has a thread but
very few comments and they're mostly along the line of
"What's happening?"
