Doesn't postponement make sense, even for this so-called "image" advertising? I'm not a big fan of image advertising, as opposed to product advertising.>> A campaign can definitely be postponed, but it wouldn't be a good idea to postpone a launch. A two week cancellation for broadcast, and even less for print is standard policy. A launch is different, I can guarantee you that M/E (McCann) has negotiated special deals with media vendors. It wouldn't be good for any parties involved if they were delayed. I have a lot of confidence in M/E SF, my wife worked there the time we lived in SF. They are extremely talented people with excellent creative skills & excellent branding knowledge. AMD needs both branding (image) & product advertising. WADR, I think you're wrong on which one is needed right now. They could advertise all the 'product' they want - but there is an extreme image problem with AMD. Even when they had better product, cheaper - than Intel, they had a difficult time selling product. The hay days were when Intel couldn't satisfy the product demand of the home PC users. I have to run into a meeting, but you'll have to expect a campaign much different than previous ones. Hil Holiday sucked. M/E is a completely different level. Quickly, I also disagree with a delay. They should have been building an image when Athlon was first introduced. They need to get their name out there before Hammer is introduced. Then they can build on the campaign. Gotta go do some advertising. ;-) Dave
