Hey, didn't Big Mac and the Globalstar Gang [GG] say that Iridium wasn't a competitor as they were 'addressing different markets' [and that cellphones weren't competitors]?

I always said they were competitors [though plenty of people in SI agreed with the idea that they were not competitors and that there was room for several constellations - hahahaaha~!!!] and now Big Mac and the GG seem to have figured it out too.

Heck, what with minute pricing coming down and noticing that there are actually some competitors and that more people will be interested at lower prices and they'll use a lot more minutes, they are making progress. Unfortunately, they are going to figure it all out just as the last of the money runs out and the constellation starts disintegrating.

<SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 2002--In an independent technical study, Globalstar, the world's most widely-used handheld phone service, has been shown to consistently outperform its main competitor in both voice and data transmission....>

But another point, we all knew all along that Iridium voice quality and data rate was bad compared with Globalstar. So what's the news? Anyone who did side by side tests of a Globalstar and Iridium handset noticed the rotten Iridium quality.
