Hi len,

Where's that quote from? It bears an uncanny resemblance to what is the reality of America in 2002 and was reality in Germany in 1937.

Last Friday, the Ministry of Propaganda gave us that spectacularly silly six hour disinformation barrage from "Alligator Alley" in Florida:

FLORIDA: The Propaganda Machine in High Dudgeon, Zero-Mile-Per-Six-Hour Car Chase Allows Hours for Lies, Innuendo and State Terror to seep in: It's a tabloid world in the new land of "Fruits and Nuts"

Today, the venue has moved to Buffalo, NY. Now we're to believe that six young Arabs are nefarious and dangerous co-conspirators with who, again? Oh, with that CIA operative and agent provocateur Osama Bin Laden. Partner to the Carlyle Group in fomenting multiple profit opportunities for the paranoia industries here in the U.S.

Garrison Keillor has some wonderful sketches about "The Fear Mongers Shop" on his A Prarie Home Companion show. Unfortunately, John Trashcroft has elevated satire to hysteria.

Sad to see a nation so mislead. In both senses of the word.
