it is a side step from the issue that I raised with you. Au contraire. It was a direct response to your post. I realize that's unusual on this thread, but there it is. Your post made a number of statements, but asked one and only one question. You asked the question: "That is because you suggest that any one who cares for them is deserving of sympathy. Why? " I assumed that since you asked the question, you wanted it answered. So I answered it. Now you object because I responded directly to your post and answered the specific question you asked. I can understand how such a response would seem strange to you. About 90% of the posts on this thread, if not more, are talking past each other. So I realize you would be surprised to have someone take a question you asked them seriously, and answer it seriously. But you should, IMO, be grateful for that, not accusatory.
