I know it might be difficult for you to read a complete article as you keep responding to the oneliners and paras from Ray etc, but try reading the whole Wente article. It says that America is to blame by being asleep at the switch. It has tolerated tyrannies. The failure to move against terrorism and its state sponsors stretching over many years led to what happened. It was nothing to do with being rich or poor as the bemused Canadian PM Chretien suggested.
