got a question on MSDW Roach (whom I think is brilliant)

how often does he post an economic editorial?
is there an archive of his writings?

he mentions a 3% USdollar depreciation since Jan2002
I believe US$ trade-weighted index has gone from 121 to 108 now
3% ??? huh?

January 1st of 2002 shows around 116, with following 121 peak

also, I spot a big hole in Roach's argument for a lower dollar
like a painter who works on the third floor scaffold, sure it is better to work on the ground level
but if as he descends, he breaks his arms and legs and back

as the USdollar descends, our capital markets will seem to implode
the stock indexes will get cut down by 30-40% more
the bond market will see rates rise at least a couple %
what we need in the US Economy, is never to have had a strong rising dollar
now we must undo that Rubin-led folly

how to get Roach's 15-20% weaker dollar without witnessing a strong negative effect on US stocks & bonds ???
