If I was a beneficiary of the most guargantuan transfer (via bogus option scams) of wealth from the gullible public to the informed insider in world history, i think i would throw a few chips back in and let em ride. counter to your story, i believe that most insiders took care of home # 1 first, home #2 second, and the 7 series third. Anything left goes back into the KP piloted casino.
