Not so odd. JLA was signing off to the whole thread, explaining his sudden departure, and doting on his daughter, by mentioning her prowess at gymnastics. I frequently intermingle remarks meant for one person with remarks to the thread when I sign off, regardless of whom I am talking to directly. There was no basis whatsoever for speculation that his daughter was retarded, or that he was making a bid for sympathy.......

"He wasn't talking about sympathy for the disabled..." Nor did I ever say that he was. I correctly interpreted his comments the context in which he made them. Odd indeed.
