You could have added that Neo has a habit of introducing his family as a basis for leaving the thread for a bit -- in fact, a while back I recall his posting that he believed it was rude just to leave the thread without excusing himself. But jla has, as far as I can recall, never done that. So you're right, it was highly unusual, of not unique. And therefore it merited, IMO, some speculation as to what, in the context of the thread, which had been discussing Special Olympics, might perhaps have caused such an aberration.
