I think 1) would be likely if the admin doesn't have an agenda -- but Iraq has had quite a bit of time if they did have something to move or hide it -- how could we ever verify that they don't have such weapons -- practically speaking.

For the near term it is a positive for the market -- people need anything -- and I mean anything -- to take their minds off the abysmal news concerning the economy. This should do for a day or two ...

Said it before and ... the next trouble spot probably will surprise most everyone including Bush.

Stalling tactic is correct. Gives Al-Queida time to get the nukes in place in the U.S. Saddam will start playing games when the inspectors get over there, without a doubt.

Market will rally ferociously anyway (except for gold, defense and oils, which will TANK ferociously).
