>>It is really too bad Clinton's character flaws stopped him from making Foreign Policy moves.<<

And it's too bad that the far right that made morality plays out of every breath he took (and every breath of Hilary's too) completely ignored history when it came to the travesty of the impeachment and trial.

History provides plenty of evidence that when a leader's adulterous behavior is exposed, despite all the moral pontification, it actually gains more public support than it loses. Perhaps it's a subconscious response to the virility of the alpha male; I'm not sure. But I am sure and was sure that the effort was doomed because of history's lessons.

Which means it was both his character flaws, and his opponents' errors in political strategy, that may have limited his choice of responses.

Did you really say that, Bill? Did you really mean that, Bill? How would you deal with Clinton's moves in the Balkans? Handling at least one very serious nuclear missile crisis between Pakistan and India? Helping to negotiate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict twice? And on and on and on and on.
