Al >I did suggest way back when here that it could all just be a bluff to get Saddam back on board on US terms.

Then I have to admit that you are very smart and the "War Party" are remarkably good actors. In fact, Steven Spielberg should employ them immediately and with GWB taking the old roles of Steve McQueen.

>India recently acquired 310 tanks and is deploying them on the front lines. That's the next trouble spot.

Yes, sure, that is a nasty scene and I can't envisage how it will pan out. Also, I don't think we've seen the end of trouble in Afghanistan.

>My guess on the terrorist front is an attack on a US refinery within the next six months.

Maybe, but that won't be too serious. A refinery is an enormous operation which usually covers many square miles and where hazards of explosions etc have to be taken into account in design. What I think is feasible and awful is a small explosive device on a big gasoline tank truck set to explode in a built-up area. This kind of thing worries me, particularly, because I live barely 100m from the US Consulate General building in Joburg and opposite it is a gas filling-station.

>Old Farmers' Almanac says a cold winter coming, especially February/March.

But those guys didn't know about global warming!
