wstera 02,

Re: and I thought that Bush was sincere about the war on terrorism

Didn't you mean his war "of" terrorism? He's doing a bang-up job of scaring the beejesus out of the weak minded here in the U.S.A. Heck, he's even got some of my friends to express some fear. Not of foreigners, but of Bush's insanity and megalomania.

So, how has this "war on terrorism(SM)" been going? Carl Rove thinks this is a great campaign issue for the November election, so he'll ramp it up a few more notches. Did we all collectively forget about the object of our intense hatred last fall, the man that our Sheriff Shrub was going to get "dead or alive"? Well, Osama who? Who, again. Dubya don't seem to know no Osama now. Now that it's Saddam 24/7. And what of that great idea Andy Card had to hold off on Saddam until after vacation? This new found urgency sure worked out swell for the schedule, didn't it? It's almost, like a "marketing" call, as Andrew Card blatantly told the NY Times. And you think these guys are doing a good job? At what, pray tell? Propagandizing the public, terrifying the nation and beating their chest like a manic band of chimps? This is called leadership?

And how about our astonishing success at creating Jeffersonian democracy in Afghanistan? Pretty convincing isn't it? How long would you give President Karzai to live if his elite U.S. Hessian(SM) guards left the country? Would he survive for 24 hours? I doubt it. Karzai's a two-bit Unocal consultant from Maryland, ferchissakes.

Re: " all about the slaughter of innocents"

Yes, heehee, the slaughte of innocents. There's many a way to accomplish this goal. Here's one of the more repugnant ways, brought on the innocents of Iraq, courtesy of our very own totally cynical War Rackets Deptartment:

Destoy the public drinking water system? Isn't that a crime against humanity? Does the U.S. not want to be liable to the International Criminal Court because we are criminals? It sure looks that way from all the evidence.

PEACE NOW! We can buy the oil, what gives us the right to steal it?
