And now for something completely different......
TOYOTA (I knew someone once who used to boom that out when something was good....:o)
cbc.ca
juxtaposed against... cbc.ca

Not sounding good for GM and even worse the barely breathing twins Ford and Chrysler..

I guess 'Buzzy Boy' sees the writing on the wall. Lining up for NDP leader and all..

The Toyota plants are non union shops. Apparently they are producing with 2K workers what GM does with 8K workers through greater efficiencies (LOL read as, one of my favourite topics PRODUCTIVITY GAINS).
Now if GM can drastically reduce its workforce by implementing similar 'efficiencies' they may be able to better compete with out '0% financing...' Then again if all those out of work plant workers need to sell their cars there may be an increasing glut of quality used vehicles. I mention this partially because on the Katzenjammer Kids (Kudlow and Cramer) tonight one guest from Bear Stearns was still harping about productivity gains.... They never ever discusses the downside though (that I've heard)...
