joser-

for crying out loud - are you gonna have
someone on the team that can run slow?

sure. if he's big enough.

madden is my favorite colorman. no.
i don't care what color.

dennis miller was the one who drove me nuts.

madden knows a lot about what goes on in the
heads of coaches and players - that's interesting...
helps the guessing process on the next play.
guessing the next move is one of the fun parts
of watching a game.

John Madden is an extremely unusual mix of smart & cornpone

sometimes I wonder where the widely perceived brilliance lies
e.g. BAM, WHAM, WHOOSH (is this a comic book?)

other times, his insights on blocking patterns, exploiting weakness, and high-level strategy is the best around

I have noticed that his goofy stupid comicbook style notable on Fox is absent on Monday Night
that pleases me

he is very hard to tune out
if I had my way, he would speak five minutes before the kickoff, for two minutes each quarter, and then five minutes near the end
and in between just watch and shut his mouth

he can be far more annoying than the biggest garbage brain out there -- Brent MushMouthBerger, aka Musberger
CBS figured him out right and fired him
he shows up on so many good college games
he is also impossible to tune out

I really think Al Michaels is a good influence on Madden
far better than the Mother of All Bland -- Pat Sommerall
