Another ploy.. Iraq accepts inspectors!!

It was pretty evident that Saddam would have to agree, if he wants to avoid an outright attack upon his regime.

He believes he can "BS" his way through these inspections since he knows how to avoid the paper-trail that was used previously to uncover his WMD program/weapons...

But Saddam is stating that he'll only accept inspectors and prove he has no weapons, so long as the "sovereignty" of Iraq is respected and no attempt to overthrow his government occurs.

Well, I offer this as a counter-response. Inspectors will have unfettered access to ALL Iraqis locations/sites, including Saddam's palaces. If we don't find anything, we'll lift the sanctions..

But if we find ANYTHING related to a WMD program which provides irrefutable evidence of his lying to the UN/US, that will constitute sufficient cause to overthrow him.

Btw, thank your son for me, with regard to his research on Nazi influence in Arab nationalist movements. Arafat is pretty much "pegged" down regarding his links for Nazi influence, but it's more difficult to pin down the founders of Baathist thought, such as Michel Aflaq (Saddam's mentor).

I'm looking for the conclusive and irrefutable tie in between Baathism and National Socialism (Nazism).
