Geez, Paul, give us the REAL story (per Briefing.com <g>)

09:17 ET August Industrial Production weaker than expected : Production fell 0.3% in August, below the +0.2% consensus and ending a streak of eight straight increases. However, the news was not as bad as the headlines suggest; the July increase was revised up to 0.4% from 0.2%, and August weakness was focused in two areas: autos -1.4% and utilities -2.5%. Given record low inventory/sales ratios, weakness in August production is quite likely an aberration.

There ya go. Forget the streak of 7 months of growth. It's just an aberration.
