Man, what a ride.

Trading in the financials is really chaotic this morning. Something's wrong there I think.

Little blast of selling a few minutes ago gave us the lowest tick for NYSE since Sep 3. We have not had a big negative tick on NASDAQ since the last week of July.

It looks as if I over-estimated the bearishness here, 'cause the charts say this could get very ugly today. Last chance to save the day is where we trade right now.

the guy who has the cycle count sees an important ivestment low for gold sometime in the 8 days surrounding 9/17/02. He has another date a little further out, that i din't know, but he's been targetting this time for a while, and some of his other stuff has been very accurate.

all fwiw.

i think it's important, because we have been targetting the 112 area on the USD for quite some time. If tha t target is met, and the dollar begins to show some sideways down...it could be extrapolated that the equity indices could suffer as a consequence...and gold could show gains.

it's all relative
