Turkey has avoided this fate. Iran may. Because it has been this way, doesnt mean we cant make progress away from the extreme model even if it is an islamic state in principal. Israel is a Jewish state, no? America was a Christian state, france and italy catholic. mike

Cary, North Korea/Japan seems to go well in spite of them killing those kidnap victims. Iraq is going according to plan--confusion is always part of a bush plan. Iran must be going well too--no news is good news Perhaps there is a method to this madness. In any case we should be on the same page for the moment. Hope inspections really work--then we wont need regime change or war. The noose is being tighened. Perhaps he will give it all up, knowing the end is near and rather than using WMD. I believe this to be possible. He may choose a smaller political/military role for a bigger economic one. Stranger things have happened especially when a sword hangs over one's head. mike PS Cary--Gottfried and I figure we have to have our stocks double to break even at this point. LLTC is 1/2 one of your early buy points. Hopefully we can get thru september and have a year end rally as strong as the summer one. LOL ZEEV has us at the bottom of his trading range with a potential to reach 1388 in the next move up. Lets hope.
