I don't know if it is in the best interest of the USA to invade Iraq or not. When I listen to the President, he seems to imply that there is an organized effort to destroy America that has the hub of its development in Iraq. I have only heard rhetoric on this and have not seen substantive proof. Maybe it is true and the proof is obscure. I simply do not have enough information to throw my support behind the President's position. I am willing at any time to do so if a preponerance of evidence comes forth, showing that they an immenant and destructive force is aimed at us.

I am not willing to sacrifice what is essentially American for Peace of mind about what the Iraqis may or may not be up to.

It is essentially American to hold the right of life, liberty, the persuit of happiness, and self governance of regions as inalienable rights. It is my current position that if we were to invade Iraq with out a preponderance of evidence, we would be sacraficing what is essentially American to obtain Empire status and power for the sake of power itself.
