EET.t...in the news Etruscan Resources Inc.: Official Mine Opening Scheduled for November 5,2002 WINDSOR, NOVA SCOTIA, Sep 18, 2002 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- Etruscan Resources Inc. (EET.TSX) and Mountain Lake Resources Inc. (MOA.TSX Venture) jointly announced today that the official opening for their first diamond mine near Ventersdorp, South Africa is scheduled for November 5, 2002. The first plant is now being commissioned for production and will have been operational for one month at the time of the official opening. As previously announced the decision has been made to double the capacity of this first plant from 4,000 to 8,000 tonnes per day. The twinning of this first plant is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2003. By increasing production, the already low unit costs of operation will be further reduced. Gerald McConnell and Allen Sheito, respectively President and Chief Executive Officers of Etruscan and Mountain Lake jointly stated, "We are extremely pleased to make this announcement to our shareholders. Construction began at Ventersdorp only seven short months ago and our project team has delivered this mine on budget and on schedule. As we join the ranks of commercial producers, the experience and success we have gained with this first plant will serve us well into the future. Our shareholders should look forward to many stable and profitable years of production. We are also very pleased to have the opportunity to develop a long lasting and beneficial relationship with the local indigenous Mogopa community."
