TORONTO, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - SouthernEra Resources Limited is pleased to
announce its admission to the S&P/TSX Composite Index.
SouthernEra's admission follows the Quarterly S&P/TSX Composite Index
Review and the subsequent announcement on September 17th by Standard and
Poor's. The index changes outlined in the announcement will occur after the
close of trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on September 20th, 2002.
SouthernEra Resources is a fully integrated international mining company,
which generates projects offering exceptional rates of return. The Company's
focus is on platinum group metals and diamonds. Its operations in South Africa
include the 70.4 percent owned Messina Platinum Mine and the 50 percent owned
Klipspringer Diamond Mine. The common shares of SouthernEra are traded on the
