If you insist that cops are always donut-eating dummies
My brother was a cop, and later a deputy sherrif. I frequently rode around in his car with him and his partner. They're not all dummies. I'm sure that 690 of the 700 cops were just doing what they were told to stop terrorists. JEB just tells his 10 hand picked cronies at the top to give the orders he wants whether it's to eat donuts or create a TV spectacle.

In case there was doubt that JEB was behind the publicity generating fiasco. No calls to other parties in the incident.

Jeb Bush Thanks Woman Who Tipped Police to Possible Terror Threat
By Mitch Stacy Associated Press Writer
Published: Sep 17, 2002

ARCADIA, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Jeb Bush said Tuesday he telephoned the Georgia woman who alerted authorities of last week's possible terror threat to thank her for the warning.
Eunice Stone said she overheard three men possibly discussing terrorist plans at a Georgia restaurant on Thursday.

Ayman Gheith, Kambiz Butt and Omar Choudhary were pulled over early Friday in southwest Florida and, as the nation watched on live television, were detained for 17 hours as their vehicles and possessions were searched.

They were released after no evidence of terrorism was found. As recently as live interviews on Tuesday morning television news shows, they denied the allegations.

Some Muslim groups have called Stone a racist, saying she acted on her prejudice against the men, who are of Middle Eastern descent and in the United States legally.

"I was really surprised at how critical people were of her actions," Bush said. "So I called her up on Saturday morning and said, 'You did exactly what the President of the United States has asked people to do.'"

Stone, of Cartersville, Ga., was hospitalized briefly on Monday, suffering from chest pains and stress, her attorney said.

Gheith, 27, Butt, 25, both from suburban Chicago, and Choudhary, 23, of Independence, Mo., are medical students who were on their way from Chicago to a South Florida hospital for a nine-week training program. The hospital, citing fear of staff distractions, has told them to seek the training elsewhere.

Gheith is a U.S. native. Butt is naturalized citizen and Choudhary has a valid visa, officials said.

Bush brought up the telephone conversation while meeting with Oscar Garner, a southwest Florida area coordinator for the state Bureau of Preparedness and Response.
