Might be too touchy for all parties involved,

When Pilots were captured, they were usually turned over to the Chinese for interrogation. The Russians had come in as Pilots with the original MIG's. Exactly when some of the American Pilots were sent to Russia has not been released, but we know it did happen. I expect this will all come out in about 50 years, unless Seymore Hersh gets ahold of it sooner.

Hi D. Long; Re the North Koreans admitting kidnapping Japanese.

(1) Time softens all regimes. This is the principle behind containment. It worked with the Soviets and the Chinese, and it will work with the North Koreans, Iranians and Iraqis.

(2) Admitting to the sins of your father is a lot easier than admitting to your own.

(3) The founder of these dictatorships are very unique individuals. They have to be to get to the position of power they occupy. Their children are more normal, due to the inevitable "regression towards mean".
