It's possible that they have other agendas to "support" the market namely the vested business or political interests.

If all the "experts" were to recommend selling-out the market would tank disastrously and there would be an enormous crisis of confidence, possibly even social unrest and anarchy.

If I saw a falling market going into mid-October and then a huge down day followed by a further drop at the next open, I might feel comfortable buying back in. Otherwise too many things can go wrong to do so now.
