Rascal... The reason that I asked what "new" information Ritter might have is because he's been "out of the official loop" for over 4 years now..

The only information on Iraqi WMD programs would be based upon classified information, access to which he has been denied. Nothing Saddam offers can be trusted since he has complete power to orchestrate "propaganda" inspections.

So Ritter truly couldn't be in the possession of any CREDIBLE "new" information..

In fact, the whole problem is that almost no one, including US Intel Analysts, have any hard facts about the status of Saddam's WMD program.

That's why we have to go back in, "strip search" the country (including Saddam's palaces) and MAKE OURSELVES COMFORTABLE that he doesn't have any.

And Saddam's violation of 16 different UNSC resolutions, his prior use of chemical weapons against innocent civilians to quash INTERNAL dissent, and his obvious history of aggressive behavior, give both the US and the UN the right to force him to comply.

Saddam's very name means "to confront".. It is an inherent part of his personality make-up. He has to oppose, delay, obfuscate,.. etc, in order to uphold his internal reputation.

It's our job to change his name.
