he's not sticking it to them. he can't hurt them anymore. but what he was doing was ALWAYS personal imo. he resented the success of msft and new that they created an advantage that was going to be almost impossible to overcome. he also realized years ago, that msft and intel were gunning for HIM next. that ultimately was proven true. mcnealy was the only computer executive that didn't HEDGE against the onrushing wintel invasion. it's too late to join the linux party now.
