"At some point, I try to take a break, or refuse to play entirely......." I realize that my contention with X has occupied an unnecessarily large portion on the thread over the past couple of days. I would like to point out the following: I have resisted the attraction to return fire. I have only defended my self against baseless and uninformed attacks that have morphed from one thing to another (At this point I believe I have been accused of being a lying, hypocritical, frightened, wimp etc). I have not asked others for their input but have responded to the questions raised directly to me, or allegations directed at me. I believe it started when I made a sarcastic comment to X. Something like (I have been on long enough and I must now attend to some family business. I hope that doesn't make you shudder too much). Of course this was in reference to her labeling JLA's comment about supporting his daughter's gymnastics interest as "bizarre." IMO the ensuing onslaught has been more about X's smoldering resentment than that comment. I have not posted to any one in an effort to further this discourse and even now am only responding to your concerns.
