is that for balance transfers or new purchases?

fwiw, i have over $100k in 0% credit card debt, and had no problem getting a huge home equity line at 3.99%, so it must take a while before anybody figures it out.

Cheers

Credit card accounts are scored differently based on whether they are bank cards or store cards. If you have several cards with high limits, the positive effect of the high limits outweighs the negative effect of additional accounts. Probably 2 or 3 bank cards with high limits and 2 store cards are of maximum benefit to your credit score.

However, this is based on a post hoc analysis of the score. Fair Isaac has never published information on the number of tradelines that will maximize your score.
