When you introduce corporate taxes to the individual tax argument, you purposefully muddy the waters. As you know, GE or any corporation could reduce its corp tax exposure to zero by simply spending more than they make. They could increase their tax exposure by spending less (e.g. by laying off workers, etc.) So it's not and never will be, nor should it be, apple to apples.

But the issue you originally raised was that rich persons are driving your taxes up - which is the OPPOSITE of the truth.
