I think union guys like Flappy delude themselves into thinking that all of life's problems are caused by people who have more money than they do. It is a naive concept that appeals to the jealous and ignorant. Everybody knows that a flat tax is opposed by banks, mortgage companies, big charities, churches, hospitals, real estate companies, farms, accounting firms, lawyers, state governments and other entrenched institutions that make a living feasting on middle class tax deductions.
