DIck, I've never really attempted to correlate the P/C ratio with performance, but yesterday and todays figures are historically very extreme - be it a options expiration week or not. I recall seeing some charts where such extreme reading coincide with market bottoms (be it local bottoms or major bottoms) - with a pretty high degree of confidence. Unfortunately, the Equity Put/Call ratio isn't tracked anywhere - the CBOE website, you need to extract the data and calculate it yourself. As such, it is difficult to validate phrases like "I recall seeing some charts somewhere". Probably have some nice fireworks the next few days though.
