Anyway, I need to reset my buying levels once more. About a year ago I said my buying point was $5 for KLIC and $15 for AMAT. Then in July I revised to $3 and $12. Looks like AMAT printed 11.9's briefly in after hours tonight, so I need to ask myself, "are we there yet".

My feeling is, still probably not the right time. I don't see any recovery in semi equip until 2004 at the earliest, so the opportunity may come next summer or so.

So, OK, new target for AMAT is $9. I worry that KLIC is not financially strong enough to have any equity value left 18 months from now. So KLIC is off the list until further notice.
