We'll forget about Tang for the moment... My younger son, who is militantly non-conformist, loves Tang, Gator Aid, "cheese" in an aerosol can, etc. I think he likes the idea of "food" made entirely by man, no nature involved. cultural subsidies This is one of those things that drives me nutz, except thankfully I am not on the receiving end, and it has zero effect on me personally. I love Indie (independent) films, art films, foreign films, but I know I am in the minority, especially in my house. The guys love science fiction, action-adventure, shoot-em-ups. Maybe it's lowest common denominator, but it's a genuine response. They don't have to watch what a do-gooder bureaucrat forces on them.
