The reason corporations use FLYR is simple...manage the travel budget for us and let's not have folks who we can bill out at $200-400 an hour (engineers, execs, etc.)or whom we pay the same amount spend AN HOUR booking their travel over the web...and since the secretarial/assistant function is now SHARED in corp. America, imagine the poor asst. who has to try to book travel for the 8 people in her department who travel 3 days a week, deal with changes, deal with non-refundable tickets, etc. etc. By the time you do the math, OUTSOURCING this function to FLYR makes sense.

FLYR will lose the "unmanaged" traveler, the small businessman who used to buy tix from their local agencies and for whom FLYR used to get a commission from the airline. Now FLYR must charge these folks $50 a tix to cover their costs. They see this separate charge on the credit card and they are driven to use web based sites. FLYR is trying to combat this by giving them the ORBITZ relationship they have and for which they get fees from ORBITZ.

We all should stop looking at FLYR as a travel company. IT REALLY IS A BUSINESS OUTSOURCING COMPANY. Companies in this space trade at 25-30 P/E.

As for terrorism, yes, it would hurt knee jerk, last time the stock went from $15 to $5 on 9/11 bombing, but BACK To $17. What folks don't understand here is that FLYR has a balanced portfolio and manages a huge amount of travel for the government and military.

Hope this is helpful.
