I had not realized that there were more Catholics than Muslims. Also, that the USA represents only 6% of Catholicism was a surprise. Good luck to them in getting a more liberal Church. The fact that Islam expects you to learn Arabic in order to read the Koran, and that this is holding back conversions, is also a main point.

The first thing the Missionaries did here in the Islands was translate the Bible into Hawaiian. They had to reduce it to a written language in order to do it. That is the reason it is so phonetic.

I had been aware for some time of the pull of Pentecostal Christianity among the poor people overseas. The part we here consider "superstition" is its main pull for these people.

This Christian move is a plus for us in these countries. I may be an old atheist, but I understand the pull of this philosophy.

In any case, these conversions certainly affect our Foreign Policy.
