Any mention of Robert the Bruce? Should be widely known after Mel's Braveheart :o)

ot/Wayne. Haven't gotten to him yet.

Didn't the film Brave Heart have a somewhat two faced portrayal of Robert, the Bruce? If memory serves, the film covered the early part of his career and he was still under the influence of a ruthless and cynical father.

Curious to see how this author treats him.

Book is: Warlords, by Tim Newark, pub in London by Arms & Armour Press, 1996.

Really first rate work, IMHO.
