It's true that if you display video from an NTSC source on a computer monitor and it isn't set up right, your video won't look as good as it would on a television.

On the other hand, if you do set it up right, it looks great.

But have you ever tried using a television as a computer monitor? That really looks awful, and there's no way to fix it, since in fact televisions offer much lower resolution than even cheap computer monitors. Yet apparently that's the plan for this HP/Microsoft system.

You never know, but I wouldn't bet the farm on that product.
