Pat, Do I understand correctly you can receive but not send? Is there any error message at all? No need to reply if you've already covered that. Gottfried

Try reinputting everything maybe you have a space where one doesn't belong and check Tools>Options>Connection>Internet Connection Settings. It should say "Outlook Express shares your internet connection with Internet Explorer".
