Yikes! What an angry response!

What I said was:

"I was in a laundromat while in college once" Do you mean the laundromat or the college...<g>

Did you think I was trying to correct your grammar?

College life is a favourite source for humour. Sometimes the humour takes the form of "housekeeping" jokes. I did think you might be slightly amused by my attempt to turn your sentence structure into a laugh, vis-a-vis the suggestion that you may have done your laundry only once while at college! I thought that my use of the <g> as a qualifier would make my intent overwhelmingly obvious.

I assure you there was no intent to correct your grammar. The thought did not even cross my mind. It was simply silly banter, and an unimportant joke about laundry.

So I wanted you to know that my intent bore no relationship to your interpretation, and that furious resentment on that basis is unnecessary.
