ananova.com

Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan will visit the UK next week to receive his knighthood Thursday, and speak at three events about policy coordination and risk management, the Fed said.

He will be knighted Thursday at Balmoral Castle, Scotland as honorary Knight Commander of the British Empire, the Fed said in its weekly schedule.

He will speak about monetary policy coordination Wednesday 1.00 pm London time at the UK Treasury, and about financial risks and regulation 6.30 pm at the Bank of England.

At 9.00 pm Wednesday, he will speak about global risk management at a dinner with BoE Governor Eddie George and Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown at Lancaster House.

The trip follows Tuesday's Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
