You're part of a team
whether you admit it or not

We've had this discussion before. I suspect that you see it that way because you have a team orientation, yourself, and tend to interpret things in that context. But that is not the case at all.

The only way that I could be construed as being part of a team is that I can be counted on to oppose team partisans, whether with a big P or a small one, and bullies, who often work in teams. To that extent you could think of me as part of the anti-team team, but it's not really a team. If it operates as a team, they've left me out because I don't get the memos.

I DO make allowances for individuals I respect or for whom I have some affinity. But the relationship is strictly between me and other individuals. I have always operated as an individual agent. Even in venues where I was officially part of a team, my team affiliation has been minimal. So I find your style of operation as alien as you find mine.

If you think that's holier than thou, you are mistaken. I am only expressing my personal preferences. You are entitled to yours. In bringing it up, I am not disparaging, only analyzing and trying to evoke insight.
